Outpatient Services are those
that require a stay of less than 24 hours in the hospital.
Many procedures that used to require a day or more in
the hospital have been simplified by technology
and can now be safely performed
and patients can generally go home in as little as a
few hours. We
can see how your heart moves without opening your chest. We
can check your bronchial tubes or colon for disease with
the use of a camera, scope and a tube.
Mostly,
outpatient stays are more convenient to the patient,
do not carry the risk they used to, and cost less. |
