Since its founding, Deaconess Medical Center has been committed to addressing the special health concerns of women and children.

Childbirth Services

At Deaconess Medical Center, where thousands of babies are born every year, our experienced and supportive nursing staff, certified nurse midwives and physicians strive to make every family's childbirth experience as rewarding as possible, while providing the specialized expertise and technology to give the newest family member the best start in life.

Breast Evaluation Center

The Deaconess Breast Evaluation Center is dedicated to the early detection of breast cancer. We provide one-on-one personalized care and from check-in until the completion of the exam, patients can generally expect to spend only 30 minutes.

The Breast Evaluation Center offers a full array of diagnostic services such as state-of-the-art digital mammography, stereotactic biopsy, ultrasound imaging cyst aspiration, fine needle aspiration, ultrasound guided core biopsy, stereotactic core biopsy and ductography. Same day appointments are welcome.

Cardiovascular Wellness

The experienced cardiac team at Deaconess Medical Center offers a broad range of services for women who have or are at risk for coronary heart disease.

Osteoporosis Screening

Post-menopausal women are at risk for osteoporosis, a bone-thinning disease that can result in debilitating fractures. To diagnose osteoporosis at an early, treatable stage, Deaconess Medical Center offers a non-invasive, painless screening examination called bone densitometry.

Women's Clinic

The Deaconess Women’s Clinic provides care for women, by women.  It is unique in that all of the providers are certified nurse midwives (CNMs) who care for women throughout their lifespan, from adolescence to post-menopause.
